Our History.
FreshFire began as a community of four hungry God chasers who became passionate about revival and the Presence of God. From there, FreshFire has grown into an international network of revival communities who long to see their nations impacted by the power and Presence of God. Find out more about our journey...
2004.
FF began as a prayer meeting that was hosted at Adam and Rachel’s home during their time at Bible College. It grew from a group of 4 friends to eventually a large gathering of over 70 people in just a few months.
2009.
FF developed the School of Supernatural Ministry and began training people to grow in healing, signs and wonders and a lifestyle of revival. Within a few years the school had trained over 500 students in various locations. Today, over a thousand people have benefited from the school and have been equipped to walk in the supernatural power of the Spirit.
2010.
In 2010, Adam Graves left his post as Associate Pastor at Worksop New Life and together with Rachel moved to Manchester to begin laying the foundations of a new team that would launch our first church. Over the course of the next 2 years, Adam and Rachel had consolidated a team of 6 who met weekly in their home for Cell and Leadership Training.
2011.
In July 2011, during a mission trip to Nepal led by Adam Graves the Holy Spirit was poured out upon Bansbari Church and a significant revival was birthed. The meetings extended to daily and ran for 30 days. Each day was marked with supernatural creative miracles, lame walking, blind seeing and deaf hearing. Hundreds of Hindu’s were converted and baptised in the Holy Spirit. In the early morning sessions, Adam trained around 70 leaders across the city in order that they might continue the work of revival in their churches. It was one of the most significant times in the history of FreshFire.
2012.
From 2012, the church plant preparations were well under way. In April 2012, our contacts in Kathmandu, Buddhi and Madhu Shrestha accepted the challenge to lead FreshFire Church in Nepal. They launched immediately, following an intensive training programme. In June, just a few months later, FreshFire Church Manchester launched. We started a small meeting in a school in Gorton. After 8 months, we had relocated to Reddish but had lost over 75% of the church members because of the move. Our first service in the Reddish Apostolic Church building had only 8 in attendance. Within 4 years, the church reached almost 100 members.
2014.
Papa’s House was launched. Our first children’s home in Nepal opened its doors to 2 young boys who had lost their parents following an earthquake that year.
2015.
FreshFire began the transition to becoming an apostolic centre with a fresh commitment to raise leaders, plant churches and resource the wider Christian community. There was a fresh emphasis on the prophetic and apostolic ministries as crucial to the growing church.
2016.
FreshFire launched the Restoration Centre - a healing and deliverance ministry committed to serving the wider Christian community and helping believers get healed and get back to full strength so they can fulfil their call.
2017-2019.
FreshFire experienced steady and continued growth through resourcing and equipping the region with conferences, events and freedom days.
2020.
FreshFire vacates the Sykes Street venue and moves into Abingdon Primary School in Reddish to help facilitate the continuing growth and expansion. Bret and Ruth Miles become Lead Pastors at FreshFire Stockport.
2021.
Post-COVID, FreshFire regrouped, refreshed and refocussed for the mission of revival and the call to the nations.
