Yielded Ones

John 15:1-11 TPT
“I am the true sprouting vine, and the farmer who tends the vine is my Father. He cares for the branches connected to me by lifting and propping up the fruitless branches and pruning every fruitful branch to yield a greater harvest. The words I have spoken over you have already cleansed you. So you must remain in life-union with me, for I remain in life-union with you. For as a branch severed from the vine will not bear fruit, so your life will be fruitless unless you live your life intimately joined to mine.

I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches. As you live in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you - but when you live separated from me you are powerless. If a person is separated from me, he is discarded; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire to be burned. But if you live in life union with Me and if my words live powerfully within you - then you can ask whatever you desire and it will be done. When your lives bear abundant fruit, you demonstrate that you are my mature disciples who glorify my Father!”

The yielded ones...

The ones who have no care for tomorrow, or even their own life; but live wholly for Him; in Him and through Him.

The enemy will do all it takes to stop the children of God from entering into a place of yieldedness with Jesus! Because it’s the surrendered ones who will be the true sons and daughters of God that Romans 8 says the earth is groaning for!

When you yield to Jesus it’s an exchange. You’re not left hanging.

I’ve been thinking about the constant exchanges of yielding and being filled. Yielding and being filled.

You lay it all down and He fills you. It’s a beautiful relationship with Abba.

The One who is worthy of everything and yet sees us as precious and wants to fill us to overflowing with Himself!

When you open up your hands He can pour in more of Himself. The more emptied you are of your own self the more full you can become of Him and His glory and goodness.

Isn’t it more of Him that you want more than anything else?!

Yielding is a heart thing. It’s not a head thing! It’s a heart saying yes - I want you. I choose you. You can’t work it out in your mind and you can’t bring your questions; your “buts” and your what “ifs”. You have to respond like a child. Like a baby dependant on their parent. They don’t question or doubt the care of their parents. They have to rely on them to provide for their every need. And they just have to yield!

I believe God is wanting to bring His children in to such a place of yieldedness that they find true joy - through surrender and abandonment!

He is absolutely all and nothing compares to Him.

Today, when you’re sitting in His presence, open up your hands and ask Him what area of your life He wants you to surrender to Him. Ask Him for the grace to fully abide in the vine and then watch to see the abundance of fruit that will grow!
